Kaman Corporation has three distinct business units: Aerospace - which manufactures helicopters and other aircraft parts, Industrial Distribution - which distributes all kinds of industrial bearings, housings etc., and Music Distribution - which owns and distributes such major names as Ovation guitars and Latin Percussion. To unify the three diverse businesses, we focused on three business principles that cut across all three businesses. This 3x3 matrix became the structure for the review of operations.
