Mymo in the press

We've had a great first month since launching Mymo in November. We only had a couple weeks to take orders to make shipment for Christmas, and we ended up way over our expectations. And - without much of an advertising budget - we have the kind words of our peers and the press to thank.

If you'd like to read what others have been saying, here's a rundown of the key online mentions of Mymo.

6 ways small businesses can use 3D printers. #6: Create custom products.

"Mymo is bringing personal monograms back, but with a twist."

"...a monogram is a 2D graphic combining two or more letters to form a logo. Mymo transforms these motifs into a 3D form."

"Mymo lets users be more open and creative with their personal monograms."

"Mymo makes delightful, on-demand monograms..."

"So, so cool."

"...more and more we're seeing established businesses using the manufacture on demand business model in new and innovative ways"

fashionality.jpg"In an era of fast fashion and mass production, stylish people call for customization and personalization... Just click www.mymo.is and you'll enter another universe of self-expression and smartness!"

Some other mentions include Better Living Through DesignNew StartupsIdealog, Bellisima Kids, and the Makers Nation Maker Gift Guide. Not to mention bunch of non-English articles from around the world including Tjock (Sweden), Idea*Idea (Japan), and Frizzifrizzi (Italy).

And, closing out the year, we're happy to get a little mention in Shapeways' 2013 3D Printing Year in Review list of companies leading the way in making 3D printing accessible to everyone. If you aren't aware of the breadth of impact and opportunity in the 3D printing today, the slideshare presentation is a nice overview.

Thanks again to everyone who helped spread the word about Mymo! We've got some fun things in store for 2014 - and I can't wait to hear what you think about them.
